1. Stress Management (by Tami Kroll)
Free on Amazon: Stress management is a simple way to take care of stress. It works well for a few hours, but then you just get tired of taking care of it. Tami Kroll is a good person to start with, because she has a clear explanation of the scientific facts and she has a nice book. For example, in one chapter she explains that you need to relax for 5 minutes after an event. She provides many ways to do it (for example, the "10 minutes of deep breathing" technique), and how to do it. Another nice chapter is how to handle stress on the go. It's nice to hear that she knows what she's talking about. There's nothing better than a person that has proven medical expertise.
There are many great books in the book category, but I think that I would rather have one of the others to start with. I read the book The Power of Now. I liked it much better than I expected to, but that isn't the whole of this book. I think I need to start reading the other books and read some more of the books written by other authors before I go back to this one. I really enjoyed this book and was glad to have some advice from a medical doctor.
